I met Katie & Dave at Well Wed's Bridal Affair, and absolutely couldn't wait to photograph them. They weren't actually even engaged at the time, but Dave already had a ring and a plan.  He surprised Katie with a same-day trip to NYC at 5am on a Saturday, and later that day he proposed to her in Central Park. A few weeks later when Katie called to ask if we could do "sort of a vintage, bohemian but really chic and classy" engagement shoot - two things popped into my head.  #1. Velvet furniture in a field with an old suitcase and suspenders, and #2. Downtown hotness with fancy dress clothes and black stilletos.  I was absolutely over-the-top excited when Katie thought this was perfect!  The best part?  Dave was just as into the shoot as we were (or maybe he was just really good at humoring us).  We had a beautiful afternoon together and I've been dying to share these images since before the shoot was even over!  Enjoy.
