Tell us the story of how you met...
We grew up in the ‘burbs probably 6 miles apart but never crossed paths. We both left home for college and law school and came back to Rochester for our first jobs as attorneys. We weren't in the same practice area but made excuses to see each other for "questions about our cases" and the rest is history.
What makes him crush worthy?
He's the kindest person I've ever met. As a lawyer he represents indigent clients with serious health needs that are not getting the services they're entitled to. It is a challenging, underfunded job that he pours his heart into. After work, he still has the depth to be kind and caring with me, our pets and our families.
What's your favorite story about the two of you?
I've been allergic to my cats my whole life and Ross grew up with cats. We have two cats now (and a puppy...). I remember telling my Grandpa "I'm not allergic to cats anymore!" And he had a good laugh at my expense about how love does crazy things to us.
When did you know you wanted to spend the rest of your life with this person?
For our personalities being so different, together we feel really well-balanced. It's felt "right" from the beginning.
Tell us about your wedding day!
We wanted our wedding to feel like a big family dinner, and it did. Fun, happy, crazy, and cozy.
